Cybersecurity : Senior Developer

JOB SUMMARY

A successful candidate will bring deep technical and software expertise, strong business acumen and judgment.   Utilizing your experience with on-prem and Cloud IAM services you will work with the team to transition applications to IAM Platforms, Okta Customer Identity Cloud (CIC) / Auth0 preferred, making use of Identity protocols such as SAML, OAUTH2, FIDO2 WebAuthN, and OpenID Connect (OIDC).   You also must have experience and understanding of modern Identity & Access Management concepts and best practice.

In addition to having strong technical skills, you must be comfortable in effectively communicating with technical IT teams, security professionals, product owners, and application developers, while being sensitive to a diverse cultural and technical backgrounds in a global business environment.

Job responsibilities that are specific to the position: 

• Convey knowledge and experience with information security, Authorization and Authentication systems, infrastructure and implementation techniques.
• Support development teams to adopt modern IAM API packages for AuthN / AuthZ and SSO, such as Okta CIC / Auth0.
• Write reference code for development teams to follow to enable applications to adopt modern authentication, identity verification, social login, passwordless in the multi-cloud environment through use of SSO and Federation. 
• Provide advice for both mobile and web apps.
• Design, develop, deploy IAM integrations using DevOps model for all types of devices.
• Design and integrate API level authorization integrated with IAM platform.
• Analyze server side and client logs to debug issues with IAM.
• Advise CLIENT stakeholders between infrastructure, application, and threat monitoring teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions. 
• Maintain accurate documentation for proper transition of work to CLIENT stakeholders
• May manage direct reports and resource alignment to project work
• Leads others in projects including architect, engineers, and customer personnel
• Mentor others in practice.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• • Demonstrable experience with working with applications to adopt CIAM APIs leveraging or more CIAM platforms, Okta CIC / Auth0 preferred.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of other CIAM products provided by IaaS vendors, such as AWS Cognito and Azure B2C
  • Knowledge of tenant, geographical, network, rate limiting, and other design challenges presented through the adoption of cloud delivered CIAM.
  • Understanding of API design concepts, RESTful Services, and modern application interaction patterns 
  • Capable of adapting to new IAM technologies, explore, and explain them to others even if not a hands on expert
  • Demonstratable excellent technical writing skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

• Expert coding skills in at least 2 major well-known application development languages (Java, C#.NET, Node.JS, etc.).
• 10+ years of experience in IAM, Federation, Authentication, SSO, and similar technologies. 
• Strong hands-on experience with industry standard SSO technologies and protocols (SAML, OAUTH2, FIDO2 WebAuthN, and OpenID Connect (OIDC).
• Strong hands-on experience with securing APIs with OAuth 2.0 and other means.
• Experience in extending or integrating on premises AD with Azure based AD.
• Experience in large-scale, global projects and programs.
• Familiarity with IT security and risk management practices.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Network Security or related field or equivalent experience.
